mainstages is proud to partner with JCC Westside, in Los Angeles, California to create JCamp Shines! Two week theatrical experiences open to all interests and skill levels from grades K-7! With a program that includes daily swim and playtime along with leadership roles for older participants, our professional instructors will guide students through two-week sessions culminating in one of these performances:
Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away "Over the Rainbow" to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination. Click your heels three times and imagine the air filled with the unforgettable sounds of "Munchkinland", "If I Only Had A Heart," "We're Off To See The Wizard" and POOF, you're in "The Merry Old Land of Oz!"
An original production featuring characters made famous by the likes of The Brothers Grimm, Walt Disney, and more! Through improvisation, costume work, and character games, you have the opportunity to build and adapt a hysterical script with larger than life fun. The result is brighter characters, increased confidence, and a special sense of community!
